Integrative Oncology Nutrition
Your body is intelligent. Give it what it needs.
I'm Dr. Heather Behr. I work alongside your oncology team, using targeted testing, nutrition, and supplements to realign your body so it can do what it's designed to do: stay strong through treatment and thrive after it.

Just diagnosed
Build your strength and nutrition before treatment starts, so your body goes in as prepared as possible.
In treatment
Manage side effects, protect your muscle and energy, and make sure every supplement is safe with your treatment.
After treatment
Rebuild, restore your energy, and create a long-term plan to support your health for the years ahead.
You don't have to sit on the sidelines of your own care.
Your oncologist leads your treatment. But what you eat, how you recover, and how you support your body every day are in your hands.
Nutrition affects your energy, your strength, how well you tolerate treatment, and how you feel afterward. You deserve a plan built on your labs, not a handout.
Take charge of what you can. I'll help you do it right.
I work with your team, not around it.
- I learn your diagnosis and treatment plan before I recommend anything.
- I check every supplement for interactions with your chemotherapy, radiation, and medications.
- I give you clear, written recommendations to share with your oncology team.
- I adjust your plan as your treatment changes.
Test, don't guess.
Cancer and its treatment change what your body needs. Testing shows me exactly where to focus, so your plan fits you.
What does my body need right now?
NutrEval
Your nutrient levels, oxidative stress, and how well your cells are producing energy, so supplements are chosen with purpose.
Helps with: fatigue, weakness, slow recovery.
How is my gut handling treatment?
GI Effects
Your microbiome, digestion, and gut inflammation. Treatment can hit the gut hard, and your gut plays a major role in immunity.
Helps with: nausea, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, poor appetite.
What is my bloodwork telling me?
CBC, CMP, vitamin D, inflammatory markers, blood sugar
The labs you may already have, read through a nutrition lens to find what food and supplements can support.
Helps with: low counts, inflammation, blood sugar swings.
Which foods are working against me?
Food sensitivity testing
Foods that may be adding to inflammation or digestive trouble, so your plan is built around what your body handles best.
Helps with: digestive distress, inflammation, not knowing what to eat.
You won't need every test. I choose what makes sense for your diagnosis and treatment.
Cancer biology isn't new to me.
My master's in biomedicine focused on mitochondrial metabolism, aging, and cancer. Add years of advanced training in oncology and functional nutrition, and you get someone who understands both your treatment and your biochemistry. I do every part of your care myself.

Common questions
Is this instead of chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery?
No. My work supports your medical treatment. It never replaces it. Your oncologist leads your treatment, and I help your body through it.
Can I take supplements during treatment?
Some can help, and some can interfere with chemotherapy or radiation. That's exactly why I review everything you take against your treatment plan before recommending anything.
Should I tell my oncologist I'm working with you?
Yes. I give you written recommendations to share with your team, so everyone involved in your care is on the same page.
Is this in person or virtual?
Both. I see clients in my Boca Raton office and virtually, which makes it easier during treatment when getting out isn't always possible.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your testing and the support you need. I'll go over everything, including cost, on your discovery call, so there are no surprises.
